The Barnacle under Moonlight Concert Series

When: Friday, October 12, 2012 Gates open at 6:00 pm. Music plays from 7-9 pm.

Admission: $7 ages 10 and up; $3 ages 6-9; under 6 free.

Joel Zoss takes the stage under the moonlit Miami sky. Come out and enjoy the music at The Barnacle Historic State Park, 3485 Main Highway in downtown Coconut Grove. Blankets, lawn chairs and coolers are welcome, but pets are not permitted. The gate opens at 6 pm, and music plays from 7-9 pm rain or shine. Admission is $7 for ages 10 and up, $3 for ages 6-9, and children under 6 are free.

Fingerpicking guitarist, singer, and songwriter Joel Zoss has enjoyed a worldwide cult following since Bonnie Raitt recorded his compositions, “Too Long at the Fair” and “I Gave My Love a Candle.” His songs have sold millions of copies, earning him two gold records, and he has performed and recorded with many well-known artists including B.B. King, Etta James, and James Taylor. An accomplished author, Zoss is also a National Endowment for the Arts Fellow of Creative Writing and a PEN short story award winner.

Proceeds from The Barnacle under Moonlight Concert Series support special projects at the park sponsored by The Barnacle Society, Inc., which is a volunteer non-profit, citizen-supported organization created to generate public awareness, education, and financial support for the preservation and maintenance of this historic home.
