May the force be with readers everywhere this Saturday, October 6 for National Star
Wars Reads Day. Created by Lucasfilm and six publishers, the event was created
to encourage reading across the country and bookstores, schools and aficionados
everywhere are celebrating in galactic fashion.
The Bookstore in the Grove is getting on the fun and opening its doors to Star Wars
enthusiasts for a special event from 4 to 6pm. Adults and kids are welcome for
a gathering that will feature five Star Wars characters in the store, games, trivia,
raffles and Story Time. Guests are encouraged to dress up too as there will be a
costume contest for special prizes. In the café, munch on Star Wars cupcakes and
cookies and you can even sip on special Yoda Soda that will be for sale.
From open to close, all Star Wars merchandise will be offered at a 25% discount.
This includes Legos, flash drives, books and more. The shop guarantees it will be lots
of fun and there will be something for everyone no matter what your age.
